How to make sure iCloud is properly configured on Apple Mobile Devices.

SecureTeen uses Apple iCloud to monitor iMessages, SMS/MMS messages, and phone calls on Apple Mobile devices (iPhones,iPads and iPods). So you will need your child's Apple iCloud login credentials, and Apple's iCloud Backup must be properly enabled on the child's Apple device.

Following steps will guide you to make sure that iCloud is properly configured on your child's Apple device

1) Enable iCloud

On your child's Apple mobile device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Backup, then turn on iCloud Backup.

If the settings on your child's device are properly configured as instructed above, iCloud will automatically back up the information on your child's device —iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch—over Wi-Fi every day when the device is turned on, locked, and connected to a power source.

2) Manually Initiate Latest iCloud backup

On your child's Apple mobile device: Go to Settings > iCloud > Backup, then tap Back Up Now.

This will ensure that the latest Apple data is included in the Backup. In the future, there should be no need to do this if you followed Step 1 above.

3) Verify that your child's device has successfully completed an iCloud backup

Please log into your child's iCloud account at www.icloud.com. Then click on "Settings" app inside iCloud account. Now click on your Child's Apple device. Here you will find date and time of last successful iCloud backup from your child's device.

This is also a great time to accept Apple iCloud's Terms & Conditions if you have not done so already, and to validate that your child's iCloud account has plenty of plenty of storage for iCloud Backups.

If you receive a message from iCloud during login saying that "Your iCloud storage is almost full", then you will want to check out this Apple article on "How to manage your iCloud storage".
